Jordan Point Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located about 30 minutes east of Richmond on the James River in Hopewell, Virginia.
Jordan Point Country Club first opened for play in 1954. The course was designed by Russell Breeden.
The back side is very hilly, which is unusual for the area. Jordan Point is a difficult course even though it's not overly long. Water hazards come into play on six holes, and every hole is well bunkered. All the fairways are tree lined and extremely difficult to hit. Club members say that below average players may not enjoy playing here.
The beauty of the James River as a backdrop, the 18th hole is one of the prettiest holes in Virginia. The scenic river running alongside it makes for a spectacular setting
The Jordan Point Country Club golf course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 6,585 yards.
The course closed in May 2015.
The course was closed when the bank holding the note closed due to lack of adequate and regular repayment on the note.
