Generals Ridge Golf Course, previously named Manassas Park Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Manassas Park, Virginia.
Generals Ridge Golf Course first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Jerry Slack.
General's Ridge Golf Course has long been a favorite of players from the DC area. Although located just a short drive south of the nation's capital, the General's Ridge setting feels like a nature preserve where deer and foxes are often glimpsed along the tree-lined fairways. The surprisingly hilly layout features several challenging doglegs and the 4th hole offers a memorable elevation drop of nearly 200 feet from tee to green. No. 12 and No. 15 both have water in play, while the par-4 16th hole is considered one of the toughest in the region because of its tight fairway and the ravine that must be carried to reach the green. The short par four at No. 18 offers a chance for redemption if your shot to the small elevated green is true.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,651 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,731 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 537 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 16, a 404 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at General Ridge is # 1, a 363 yard par-4.
The course closed in May, 2019
