The Kastle Greens Golf Club first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by Gary Cordova.
The Kastle Greens Golf Course is a links-style design. The front nine has fairways that are open, with mounding between the tees and greens. The back nine is more of a traditional plantation design and features a natural wetlands. Water comes into play on eight holes, five on the front and three on the back. The greens are very large and undulating.
Kastle Greens is a par-72 layout that plays to a maximum distance of 6,734 yards and a course rating of 74.0 with a slope rating of 136.
The signature hole is #9, a 423-yard, par 4, which features a dogleg fairway that breaks to the left. There is a carry over water off the tee and a bunker in front of the green. If the approach shot goes long, it will have a tendency to roll down the back of the green into a pond.
Until further notice, Kastle Greens Golf Club closed on Sunday May 15, 2011. It is the stated intention of the course to re-open, but only time will tell.
