Oak Marr Golf Complex first opened for play in 1998
The greens at Oak Marr Golf Course are hilly, sloped and ample in size, averaging approximately 6,000-square-feet. There are 2 holes with water hazards. There is a mixture of open and tree-lined fairways. Those that are tree lined feature mature oak, poplar and locust trees. The signature hole is #8, a 135-yard, par 3, which requires a tee shot over a water hazard onto a small, bunkered green. To add further challenge, the prevailing wind usually blows directly into the face of the golfers as they tee off.
Oak Marr Golf Course plays to a par-27. The 9-hole course has tees that vary from 95 to 200 yards in length. The course measures 1,456 yards from the back tees.
Oak Marr Golf Course is acclaimed as one of the finest teaching facilities and the largest lighted short game practice area in Northern Virginia, includes not only the 9-hole par three golf course but also a lighted 76 station driving range with target greens and covered, heated tees.
