Lake Monticello Golf Course is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Palmyra, Virginia. It's routed through an established neighborhood to the south of Lake Monticello, with mostly heavy tree lined fairways over rolling land.
Lake Monticello Golf Course first opened for play in 1968. The course was designed by Buddy Loving.
Lake Monticello's 18-hole championship length, par 72 golf course is ideal for golfers of all skill levels. The course was designed to take advantage of the natural contours and features of Piedmont Virginia's lovely rolling landscape. The 6,925 yard course features four sets of tees.
Tees and fairways are predominantly Bermuda grass, with bent grass greens. Fairways are open, but there are out-of-bounds, woods, bunkers and/or water on every hole. The course offers electric golf carts, but walking is permitted.
Lake Monticello welcomes public play; golf membership and community residency are not required.
