Bide-A-Wee Golf Course

Bide-A-Wee Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Portsmouth, Virginia

The course first opened for play in 1952. Bide-A-Wee was designed by Challaner Harper.

Locals regard this as a difficult course.  The tree-lined fairways are narrow, and the greens are well bunkered.  Water hazards come into play on almost every hole.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,940 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,944 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 607 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 180 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 607 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 337 yard par-4.
