Elk Run Golf Club first opened as a nine-hole course in 1989 and expanded with a second nine in 1995. The course was designed by Pete Peterson and Roy Humphreys.

The Elk Run golf course and restaurant permanently closed Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014. It’s speculated there will some kind of residential development in place of the golf course.
