Detailed description

Bridge Haven Golf Club is a Public golf course located in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The course is situated minutes outside of Fayetteville and Oak Hill off Salem Gatewood Road in the heart of whitewater rafting.

Bridge Haven Golf Club first opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Roger Flint.

The first nine holes of the sprawling course have very few obstacles -- save a sand trap and a lake or two -- leaving the well-groomed Bluegrass striped fairways ripe for the average golfer's tee-shot. The front nine is an open more forgiving set of holes than the more challenging back nine.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6032 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4512 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 545 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.

The most difficult hole is #4, a 224-yard, par 3, requiring an uphill tee shot to a well-bunkered green. The easiest hole is # 18, a 357 yard par-4.

Bridge Haven signature hole is #14, a par-3. The 150-yard shot from an elevated tee box overlooks a deep blue pond inlaid with a cascading fountain. Beyond the pond lies the luscious green protected by a tall locust tree off to its left. A good shot will drop the ball onto the soft and inviting green. An errant shot will place yet another ball into the waiting pond or one of two sand traps guarding the hole.
