Gateway Golf Club first opened for play in 1941. The course was designed by Robert Bruce Harris. The course is today owned seperately from Gateway Lodge, but when first built, the course was one of the Lodge amenities.
This course is known for its well-maintained, elevated greens. Half of this course is in Michigan, while the other half is in Wisconsin. Even though this course was carved out of the wooded terrain, the fairways still afford generous landing areas.
