Black Bear Trail Golf Club

Black Bear Trail Golf Club, previously named Cathedral Pines Golf Course, is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Suring, Wisconsin, 45 minutes north of Green Bay.

First opened for play in 1960, the course was designed by Bob Lohmann. The course was build in two phases. The original (front) nine was bult on farm land. The second (back) nine was opened 39 years later (1999). The back nine was carved out of and routed through forrested terrain. 

The front 9 is fine, but you play this course because of the back nine, one of the finest set of 9 consecutive holes in the state.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,141 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,719 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-5 that plays to 566 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 105 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 14, a 566 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, a 105 yard par-3.

The signature 16th hole is a beautiful dogleg over water to an elevated green with a tight wooded backdrop.
