The Trap River Golf Course first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by "Farmer" Sloan, (Yes the farmer that originally owned the land).
Trapp River Golf Course gets its name from the Trapp River that runs through out the course. This golfing facility tucked into the countryside northeast of Wausau, Wisconsin on Country Road WW in the rolling hills and valleys of north central Wisconsin.
Featuring a total of 6,335 yards of golf from the longest tees, the course allows for a legit par of 72. The USGA has the course rating as a 69.3 and it has its slope rating at 116. The 18 holes offer a mixture of hazards in play on every hole. Sand, trees, water, grassy fields and of course the Trapp River are there to make you think about every shot before hitting the ball.
The golf course offers a full line of services and amenities for all your golf needs. There's a 12 station driving range, full club house with bar and grill, and beverage cart running on the course at all times. Club and cart rentals are available also.
