The Blue Mound Golf & Country Club Golf Course first opened for play in 1924. The course was designed by Seth Raynor. Blue Mound is very forgiving from off the tees, but the greens are difficult due to their severe undulations. Mr. Raynor's masterpiece is maintained at the highest levels; with greens and fairways in pristine condition
The Blue Mound Golf & Country Club was the first Wisconsin Golf Course to host a PGA major: the 1933 PGA Championship, won by Gene Sarazen.
