Cottonwood Country Club first opened for play in 1959.
The Cottonwood Country Club golf course was named for the numerous cottonwood trees that line its fairways. The trees are particularly prevelant on the back nine. No sand bunkers come into play on the back nine. The large greens found on the course are slightly sloped and medium speed. Wind is a constant factor at the Cottonwood golf course, so selecting the proper club is an important.
The Cottonwood Country Club golf course plays to a par-72 and maximum distance of 6,298. The women's tees play to a par-73 and maximum distance of 5,344 yards.
