W. H. "Pipe" Follett

Wilfred was an Englishman and graduate of Oxford.

After emigrating to the U.S. he resided in Staton Island, New York. In the 1920's he became editor of Golf Illustrated magazine. Much of his writing focused on Golf Architecture. His study of and writing about golf architecture did not end there. Although not a prolific architect, he did design several golf courses.
