J.R. Leonard is a PGA professional and head golf professional at Francis Lake Golf Course in Lake Park, Georgia. His years of golf experience serve him well as a golf instructor.

He comes from a long line of professional golfers. The ancestry line runs deep, too.

Leonard’s father was a PGA professional. His uncle was also a PGA professional. His grandfather and his grandfather’s six brothers were all PGA professionals.

Leonard is co-owner/manager of Francis Lake Golf Club in Lake Park, Georgia, and has been since Feb. 14, 1997. He has been around one golf course or another all his life and even played collegiately at Columbus College (now Columbus State). Leonard was a roommate with Phil Mickelson’s caddie Jim “Bones” Mackay at Columbus and played with him on the golf team.
