Born and raised in North Dakota I started golf in 6th grade and immediately couldn't play too much. I played 4 years of high school golf and 2 years of college golf. In 1989, along with two partners, I became an owner of The Pines golf course in central Michigan and started my PGA education, becoming a class A member in 1992. Our partnership bought into Bozeman's Bridger Creek Golf Course in 1994 and we moved back to Montana to complete construction of BCGC and begin golf operations in July of 1994. Since that time I've been either head professional or Director of Golf for our company. I've been involved with creating and teaching lesson programs for juniors, co-ed adult, women's and senior programs for 30 years. Literally thousands of people have learned to golf, or honed their skills, through these programs. I've been honored to have received the Rocky Mountain section Player Development award six times, the Golf Professional of the year award and the 2012 National PGA Player Development Award. While these honors testify to the quality of the programs and hard work of all the teachers involved, the greatest testimony is the joy we see when our students fall in love with the great game of golf. We know the game will give them a lifetime of challenge and fulfillment.
