Jim Nordurft is a PGA member and The Head Golf Professional at The Club At Arrowcreek, Reno, Nevada.

Using methods refined through 30 years as a teaching professional allows Jim to create for you a complete golf education. He helps you create a swing that best suits your abilities, physical makeup, and golfing goals.

Jim's method is one that builds the swing in small increments culminating in a full swing that is sound and where the student understands it so they can continue it even after the lesson process is over.

- He starts with G.A.P.S (Grip, Aim, Posture, and Stance)

- He then uses a half swing to instill certain basic swing mechanics that will carry over to the full swing. With a half swing, students can ingrain the mechanics in an easier way and have greater success.

- Next, the focus is on the take-away/backswing and make sure the student understands how to get the club to the top of the swing.

- Finally, we move to the downswing focusing mostly on the transition, or change of direction of the club, then impact, then into the finish.

Probably more important than the full swing is the short game. It is the one area where any player regardless of size, strength, age, or gender can excel as much as anyone.

Jim also teaches the art of putting, chipping, pitching, and sand play which will shave strokes off your score and make the game much more enjoyable.
