PGA professional Jon Decker is the owner of Jon Decker Golf Academy in Westerville, Ohio. He has been a member of the PGA of America since 1997.   

In 2015, Jon was named the Southern Ohio PGA Teacher of the Year. From 2003 to 2011, he was recognized as one of the Best Teachers in the State of Florida by Golf Digest. In 2008 he was a full-time teacher on the PGA Tour. His students have also competed on the Champions Tour, LPGA Tour, and various other men’s and women’s professional tours. He has coached at the PGA Championship (2011-2014) as well as the Women’s U.S. Open (2007).

Although Jon has taught at the highest levels of professional golf, he enjoys teaching players of all ages and abilities, including beginners.   

Jon has written articles for Golf Digest and been featured in Golf Magazine and on the Golf Channel. Jon is author of the book Golf Is My Life: Glorifying God Through the Game. This Christian book highlights scripture, his life stories as well as his golf stories as both a player and a teacher. Jon has traveled the country as a motivational speaker, promoting his book as well as hosting book signings.
