Loren has been playing golf since he was 10 years old, though he didn’t really pick up the game until he was 20 when he went from a 25 handicap to a 7 in the span of 6 months. After that he was hooked and began playing competitive club matches. In 2008, Loren was accepted into the PGA Golf Management Program at University of Idaho, where he received his PGA Class A certification. While completing his degree, Loren had the opportunity to intern at some of the top golf facilities in the nation. He learned the art of the short game at Medinah Country Club in Chicago, and creativity from Bandon Dunes in Oregon. Since graduating, Loren has played consistently within the PGA Northwest Section pro-am’s and section majors as well as all of the top state opens on the West Coast. With all of his playing experience, Loren has transferred that into his instruction where he lets the students be themselves and optimizes what they do to help them enjoy the game and what it has to offer.
