I have been a PGA professional for over 30 years and in the golf business since the age of sixteen. I was born in Torrance, CA and after high school, attended the University of Portland on a 4-year golf scholarship. I captained the golf team and graduated with a Business Management degree in 1988. I began my golf career as a professional at Los Verdes GC in California under the guidance of Len Kennett, then at Columbia Edgewater CC under Dan Hixson, became head professional at Tri-mountain GC for 7 years, the Director of Golf at Rock Creek Country Club for 20 years, and presently, the Director of Player Development at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. I continue to enjoy competing in PGA Section and OPGA Chapter tournaments and ProAms. A few of my highlights are: OPGA Chapter Sr. Player of the Year in 2020, Low Professional in numerous ProAms, OPGA Chapter Pro-Asst Championship 2001, National Buick Scramble Qualifier (2001, 2003), 1999 OPGA Stroke Play Champion, set the inaugural course record (66) at Tri-Mountain Golf Course in 1997, First Place Southern California PGA Section 4-ball Championship (1992) and Golden State Tour (1989-1993). Beyond golf, I am most proud of my family. Kristine, my wife of over 32 years, and I have three sons and two grandchildren. My boys enjoy playing golf as much as I and we always look forward to our friendly and competitive matches on the golf course. When it comes to helping players improve their golf games, I am experienced and patient. My philosophy on coaching is to train more out on the golf course and to keep it simple, fun and friendly.
