Ironwood Country Club is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Palm Desert, California. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The North Course at Ironwood and The South Course at Ironwood.
The older of the two courses is the Desmond Muirhead designed South Course which first opened for play in 1974. The North Course, designed by Ted Robinson, opened 3 years later in 1977.
The South Course (Par 72) is the annual host to a U.S. Open qualifying round. Its five sets of tees play from 5,608 to 7,256 yards, allowing for maximum versatility for golfers at all skill levels.
