Detailed description

The Club at ArrowCreek is a Private 36 hole golf course facility located in Reno, Nevada. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Challenge Course and The Legend Course.

The Legend Course

The Legend Course was designed by Arnold Palmer and originally opened on August 25, 1999. Legend weaves around ravines, dry creeks, and high desert landscape.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,112 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,019 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 610 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 146 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 4, a 451-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 146 yard par-3.

Both Legend and Challenge feature forced carries, tall grasses that sway in the Nevada breeze, and fast greens. With a full-length target driving range, practice putting greens, and designated short game practice area.

I played Arrow Creek for the first time on Tuesday. The layout and the views up and down are downright picturesque!

I felt I played well but my score did not reflect it as the greens were monstrous and hard to read. They were slow one hole and fast the next. I hit the green on a par 3 226 yard hole only to three putt. How frustrating. I guess as I play this course over and over I would get to know the greens and score better.. I am an 18.7 and played the rust tees for a 103 at Arrow Creek.

Don-t know if I will be back. The members kinda look down on you as if to say, "don-t mess up my course homie."

This is one of the toughest courses you will ever play in your life, with a slope of 158 from the blacks.... and that doesn't take the violent afternoon wind into account.
