Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Jackson, Wyoming.
Jackson Hole Golf Course first opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Bob Baldock.
Laurance Rockefeller, an avid golfer and resort property pioneer, saw a diamond in the rough when he purchased the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club in 1967. In 1971 Rockefeller contracted Robert Trent Jones II to develop a major remodeling plan for the original Bob Baldock designed course.
In 2004 Jones was contracted once again for a second redesign of the course which was completed in June 2006. The much anticipated $5 million JHGTC golf course renovation improvements included: * Installation of a new State-of-the-Art irrigation system *Construction of 20 new tee-boxes (adding over 500 yards to the course) *Renovation of 66 bunkers *New cart paths *Redesigned 1st and 15th holes
Golf Digest has rated the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club among the top ten resort courses in the nation. The natural beauty of the terrain creates a unique and challenging course. The Gros Ventre River, combined with strategically placed ponds, provides water hazards on 11 of the 18 holes.
The par-72 plays to 7,325 yards from the longest (Black) tee. From the green tees the course measures 6,790 yards from the silver tees and 5,958 yards and from the red tees 5,375 yards
