He earned a degree in landscape architecture from Mississippi State University.
In 1976, Kevin opened an office in Nashville in 1976. One of his first projects was designing the back nine of the former Cookeville Country Club. Along with Cookeville native and PGA touring professional Bobby Greenwood, Kevin went on to design the Dorchester Course at Fairfield Glade.
