Dede Moriarty. PGA Bio,Dede grew up and developed a passion for playing golf in San Francisco at Harding Park Golf Course. After playing amateur golf for many years, Dede, became a PGA Apprentice, accepted a position at Lake Merced GC and became 1st assistant a few years later.In 1995 Dede became the first female Head Professional in SF history at the Presidio Golf Course, and later accepted Head Pro position at Crystal Springs Golf Course. Dede is now enjoying her 15th year back at the Presidio, teaching golf to a variety of students.Some of Dede’s highlights have been being named a Top 50 Teacher for Golf for Women magazine, Top Bay Area Instructor San Francisco Examiner, Top Teacher in California for Golf Digest and Golf Magazine and NCPGA Horton Smith award winner.In addition to a passion for teaching golf, Dede is serving a 15th year on the Northern California PGA BOD and is Past Chair of the NCPGA Education Committee, Women’s Division , NCPGA Teaching committee and Past President of the NCPGA Foundation.
