Denver native that has worked and volunteered all around the Metro area for the last 36 years. Most recently was the Head golf Professional at Wellshire Golf Course from 2000-2021. I am now involved with teaching with the First Tee of the Colorado rocky Mountains during the winter months and also work closely with the PGA HOPE Program. We are currently hosting a PGA HOPE Winter Golf League at Golf Tec Headquarters in Centennial. We felt the need to provide some sort of programming for our military personnel during the shorter/darker days of the winter months. We created an 8 week 2-man league and are fine tuning the details as we navigate our first season. I have also initiated a program for First Tee participants that covers Financial Literacy and we will have two sessions in both February and March to help our young leaders have as much financial education as they head out into the real world. I have taught thousands of lessons to individual, groups and juniors over my 36 year career. My philosophy is to keep it simple. Many students don't have the time to endure a complete golf swing overhaul which will ultimately set them back in their quest to find the secrets of the game. I work individually with each student to find the best direction to take in their instructional time. small adjustments in ball position, grip and thoughts on how the physics of golf work, hit down on ball, ball goes up. Many players have learned the game from family friends and at times they have been sent down the wrong path. The best path is the simplest path with what works for the student doesn't always work for the next student. Tailored instruction to help you play your best.
