Currently serves as the PGA Director of Golf for the Pekin Park District, Lick Creek and Parkview Golf Courses. Was the captain of the 1993 Pekin High State Champion Golf Team. In 2014 Proehl was inducted into the Peoria Sports Hall of Fame Class. He was on both the Lincoln College and Bradley golf teams. He has been a Class A Member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America since 2007. He has over 18 years of experience working at golf courses in Arizona- Raven @ South Mountain, Iowa- Glen Oaks CC, Colorado- Kissing Camels @ Garden of The Gods Club and Kansas-Topeka CC. He has extensive experience is in golf course operations, food and beverage management, merchandise, golf instruction, tournament management and growing the game of golf.
