I’ve always loved to play any game with a ball; tennis, basketball, football and baseball. But, it was golf that was calling me. It’s where my mind wondered. I can remember that day like it was yesterday. I was thinking about my golf swing and how I should be on the golf course practicing as a fly ball was heading my way in centerfield. It was time to focus on the game of golf. I was on a mission to get better. A couple of years later, my family moved to Iowa and I started working at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. I realized with practice and some good coaching, You Can improve. I moved to Texas while in college and had the opportunity to play with guys on the PGA Tour gals on the LPGA tour, various mini tour players and highly ranked amateurs. It was there I realized that I wanted to pursue golf as my profession. My ability to connect with all golfers regardless of where they were on their journey was exciting and very natural for me. I wanted to make a career of it. I spent over a decade in the golf business and became a member of the PGA of America. My favorite days were working with players who were new to the game or anyone who had the bug and wanted to improve. I pivoted from golf to selling software in midlife while raising my family.
