Bill Wening is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Playing junior golf tournaments as a kid was
the start of his passion for the game. He continued that passion and his education at St. Mary’s
University in San Antonio, Texas. Wening played all four years at St. Mary’s as the number one
player. In 1998 he graduated with B.B.A in Marketing. After graduation Wening wanted to
continue his passion for the game and played professional for 10 years. After his playing years
he wanted to share his knowledge of the game with others. While working as an Assistant Golf
Professional at one of Houston’s premiere golf clubs, he received his PGA “Class A”
certification in 2013. In 2016 Wening played in the PNC PGA National Championship at the
Historical Philadelphia Cricket Club. His mentors include World Golf Hall of Fame Member
Carol Mann, World Golf Hall of Fame Teacher Jim Hardy, Top 100 teacher Chris O’Connell,
Top 100 teacher Dick Harman. His golf education includes being a Level 1 Plane Truth Golf
Instructor, C.H.E.K Institute, Athletes Performance, Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), and
Golf Psych. Wening has been a part of the Club-Corp team for 6 years. He enjoys helping all skill level of players understand their golf swings and how to play better golf.
