Nicholas Altman was born and raised in Palm Springs, CA and has played golf since he was eight years old. A member of the PGA since 2012, a PGA Certified Instructor/Coach since 2015, Nicholas has been helping golfers improve their games since he joined the golf industry in 2008. Nicholas has extensive golf industry and player development experience including as a head professional, director of instruction, and as a college coach. He has coached junior golfers to regional and national tournament wins. As a coach at College of the Desert, his teams won multiple division titles and took second in the Southern California regional. In two years as coach, he helped seven student athletes sign athletic scholarship offers from Division 1 and Division 2 Colleges. Nicholas also was the director for the PGM Program at College of the Desert, where he taught academic classes such as Methods of Teaching and Teaching the Short Game.
Nicholas brings a wealth of golf knowledge and coaching experience to his role as Director of Player Development at the Hills Country Club. He holds certifications from TPI, US Kids Golf, and PGA Coach. He focuses on helping players reach their potential by helping them to analyze their golf game holistically and to create a targeted training and improvement plan that will help bring out their best in competition. His instruction methods are simple and easy to implement. He will work with you and your schedule to find the best way for you to improve.
