Charlie Thurston is a PGA Professional, life- long golfer and resident of the Pacific Northwest. Charlie arrived at Fircrest Golf Club in November of 2015 with extensive experience in golf instruction. Prior to his arrival at Fircrest Golf Club, he taught at the Links Golf Club in North Idaho where he worked with a wide range of players. Before his time in North Idaho, he revived golf instruction at Diamond Woods Golf Course in Monroe Oregon and prior to that was the Director of Instruction at Spokane Country Club for 8 years. Charlie was also an Assistant PGA Professional at the Yakima Elks Golf and Country Club where he developed golf instruction clinics and programs for the entire membership and Yakima Valley. In 2008 Charlie completed the extensive requirements set forth by the PGA of America to achieve special certification in Golf Instruction. In addition to his teaching experience, he has received extensive training in custom club fitting through the PGA of America and Henry Griffitts Inc. Charlie is also a published author.
